Ghana Premier League side, Medeama SC have appointed their former coach, Evans Adotey as new head coach, Sportsworldghana have been told.
This comes after the dismissal of David Duncan and subsequent resignation of Umar Rabi, leaving the team without a permanent head coach. Adotey, who previously served as interim coach and technical director at Medeama SC from 2012 to 2017, has signed a one and a half year, official communication imminent.
Adotey’s previous stint at the club was successful, helping the team to win two FA Cups and a Super Cup. He also led the team to a fourth-place finish in the 2012/13 season.
Adotey most recently served as head coach of Karela United in 2021 and was assistant coach of the Ghana male U20 team that won the 2021 Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania.
