Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has handed a call-up to Medeama SC’s exciting 18-year-old winger Kelvin Nkrumah for the upcoming high-profile international friendlies against Japan and South Korea, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report.

Nkrumah, one of the brightest young talents in the Ghana Premier League, has been rewarded for his impressive form with Medeama this season. Known for his blistering pace, skillful footwork, and fearless attacking style, the teenager joins a select group of home-based players in Addo’s squad for the Asian tour.

The Black Stars are scheduled to face Japan on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Toyota Stadium in Aichi, before taking on South Korea on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, as part of preparations for Ghana’s fifth FIFA World Cup appearance in Canada, Mexico, and the United States in 2026.

Nkrumah will link up with his Medeama teammate Prince Owusu, who has also been called up, adding youthful energy and flair to the squad as Ghana tests itself against two of Asia’s top sides.

Sources close to the national team reveal that Addo and his coaching staff have been closely monitoring Nkrumah’s development for months and believe the teenager has the ability to make an immediate impact on the international stage.

The matches against Japan and South Korea will provide Addo with valuable opportunities to assess his squad, refine tactics, and evaluate players ahead of a busy international calendar next year.

At just 18, Kelvin Nkrumah’s inclusion marks a major milestone in his rapidly rising career and represents another proud moment for Medeama SC, which continues to produce top-quality talent for the Black Stars.
