Ghanaian forward Ransford Yeboah-Königsdörffer’s anticipated transfer to French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice is facing serious uncertainty due to medical concerns.
The Hamburg SV attacker had reportedly agreed to personal terms with the French club, with a deal valued at around €6 million nearing completion. However, the move has hit a stumbling block after an issue was flagged during his medical examination.
Sources indicate that the exact nature of the medical concern has not been disclosed, but further assessments are currently being carried out to determine whether the transfer can proceed.
Yeboah was a standout performer for Hamburg in the 2024/25 Bundesliga 2 season, scoring 14 goals and playing a key role in the club’s successful promotion campaign.
The 23-year-old joined Hamburg in 2022 and has grown into one of the team’s key attacking players. Both clubs are reportedly waiting on the outcome of the medical review before deciding on the next steps regarding the deal.
Should the transfer fall through, Yeboah is expected to remain with Hamburg for the start of the new Bundesliga season.
