Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Akuffo has revealed his ambition to one day coach the Porcupine Warriors, though he insists his immediate focus is on developing young talent.
Speaking in an interview with Ghana Sports Page, Akuffo shared his long-term vision while emphasizing his current desire to contribute to youth football.
“The dream club is Asante Kotoko, but not now,” he said. “There are so many coaches I’ve worked with and I’ve learned from.”
Akuffo, who spent six successful years at Kotoko between 2011 and 2017, believes his rich experience both on and off the pitch puts him in a strong position to mentor the next generation of footballers.
“My dream is to impact the new generation with my experience,” he added. “So even if I get a youth team, we will try and make an impact.”
Akuffo remains a revered figure among Kotoko fans, and his desire to return to the club in a coaching capacity could pave the way for a new chapter in his football journey.
