Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo produced an impressive creative display on matchday as he registered two assists to inspire Umm Salal SC to a commanding 5-2 victory over giants Al Sadd SC in the Qatar Stars League.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian was instrumental in the attacking play of Umm Salal, orchestrating moves from midfield and consistently creating problems for the Al Sadd defence. His vision and passing ability played a key role in helping his side secure an emphatic win against one of the league’s traditionally strong teams.

Baidoo set up two of the five goals scored by Umm Salal, delivering precise passes that allowed his teammates to finish comfortably. His first assist came after a clever buildup move in which he spotted a teammate making a run behind the defence and threaded a perfectly timed pass into space.

Later in the game, the Ghanaian again demonstrated his playmaking ability, providing another well-weighted ball that unlocked the Al Sadd backline and led directly to another goal. His calmness on the ball and ability to read the game were evident throughout the match.

The comprehensive victory was a major boost for Umm Salal as they continue their campaign in the Qatari top flight. Defeating a club of Al Sadd’s stature with such a high scoreline highlights the team’s attacking strength and confidence.

For Baidoo, the performance further strengthens his growing influence within the squad. His creativity and work rate in midfield have made him an important figure for the club since joining the side.

With his latest two assists, Baidoo has now recorded five direct goal involvements in the league this season, scoring one goal and providing four assists in 10 appearances. The numbers underline his ability not only to control the tempo of matches but also to contribute significantly in the final third.

As the season progresses, Umm Salal will be hoping Baidoo can continue his fine form and remain a key creative force in their quest for more positive results in the Qatar Stars League.
