Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo recorded his seventh league goal involvement on Friday evening as Elfsborg took home all three points.
Baidoo provided an assist in the 2-0 win over Halmstads BK in the Swedish Allsvenkan at home.
The midfielder was named in the starting lineup for the 10th time this season as Elfsborg looked to bounce back to winning ways.
Despite threatening in the early parts of the game, the home side couldn’t break the deadlock while the away team also played without conviction.
However, four minutes into the second half, Ahmed Qasem gave Elfsborg the lead.
Baidoo set up the forward for the game’s opening goal in the 49th minute.
The lead was doubled with just a minute away from the 90th-minute mark.
The club’s captain, Johan Larsson got on the scoresheet for his first goal of the 2024 campaign.
His assist on Friday now means, Baidoo has four goals and three assists in 10 games in the league this season.
