Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo again put up a top-notch performance for IF Elfsborg and helped the team to clinch victory against Mjällby AIF in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday evening.
Baidoo, 24, scored and also provided an assist as Elfsborg maintained their top spot with a 2-0 win at the Boras Arena.
Baidoo in the 37th minute mark set up Icelandic forward Sveinn Gudjohnsen to score his side’s opening goal in the matchday 20 fixture.
Ghanaian international later doubled Elfsborg lead with a brilliant strike after receiving a pass from Danish midfielder Jeppe Okkels.
Baidoo, however, was replaced in the 90th minute when Kenyan teenage midfielder Timothy Ouma to his place.
Elfsborg continue to lead the Swedish Allsvenskan after Sunday’s victory. They have 45 points after 20 matches.
Meanwhile, Compatriots Emmanuel Boateng and Jalal Abdulai didn’t make the match squad for Elfsborg.
