Ghanaian youngster Michael Baidoo was directly involved in two goals for Elfsborg in their league win over Halmstads in midweek at home.
Baidoo scored his first goal of the season in the 6-1 win over Wednesday’s opponents while also grabbing his second assist of the Swedish League campaign.
Having failed to score in any of his first five games of the 2023 season, the 23-year-old was on the scoresheet on Wednesday as he scored the equaliser for Elfborg after Viktor Granath had given the away team a first-half lead.
Baidoo also provided the assist for the third goal of the game before being withdrawn in the 79th minute with the score at 5-1.
His goal involvement in midweek means the Ghana international has now played a direct role in three goals in six games already this season as Elfsborg occupy the third position.
