Midfielder Michael Kyei Dwamena has revealed that he joined Asante Kotoko because of his relationship with coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum.
Despite having a lifelong dream to wear the Porcupine shirt, Dwamena stated that his previous working relationship with the coach made the decision more easier.
The former Wa Suntaa Midfielder was announced as a new Asante Kotoko player in the early hours of Sunday, September 3, 2023.
“Playing for Asante Kotoko has always been part of my dream growing up,” Dwamena said after the conclusion of the deal.
“Moreover, the coach [Prosper Narteh Ogum] is someone I have worked with before, and his understanding of the game excites me a lot, and I am confident that together, we can achieve something great here,” Dwamena added.
Both Dwamena and coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum worked at WAFA in the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
Michael Kyei Dwamena signed a three year deal with Asante Kotoko.
