Agbozo King, who was named Best Goalkeeper at the Milo U-13 Champions League, has described his experience after winning the youth competition as a memorable one.
After helping his team win the tournament, the young goalkeeper said he wished to meet Ghana Premier League shot-stopper Benjamin Asare. That wish was granted when Accra Hearts of Oak made arrangements for him to meet the player.
He explained that the meeting was more than just a celebration of his success, as it also served as an important learning experience that made a strong impact on him.
“He advised me not to shout at players and to always stay calm,” he said.
The moment highlights the importance of mentorship in Ghanaian football, where experienced professionals continue to guide and inspire young players through youth competitions like the Milo tournament.
