West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus is determined to guide his team to victory against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals.
After securing his first brace in West Ham’s recent Premier League win against Wolves, the Ghanaian attacker is optimistic about the team’s momentum.
In an interview with the club website, Kudus expressed the team’s desire to build on their success, especially after defeating Arsenal in the Round of 16. He emphasized their high expectations and belief in achieving more in the ongoing season.
“We want to keep going and keep going,” he said. “The win on Thursday boosted the energy and the motivation and we’ll keep building on that.
“We expect a lot from ourselves and we believe we can do more than this. There are so many games to go, so we’ll keep taking one game at a time and we’ll get there.”
The upcoming match at Anfield on Wednesday is crucial for West Ham, providing an opportunity to advance to the semifinals. Kudus highlighted the team’s readiness and motivation, citing the recent win as an additional boost.
“Wednesday is a very important opportunity to go to the next round – the semi-final. You saw the performance against Arsenal. It will be another tough game, but the boys will be up for it and the win today is another boost for us. We’ll give our best any day,” he added.
Having contributed nine goals and 14 goal involvements in 24 games, Kudus is a key player for West Ham as they aim for success in both domestic and cup competitions.
