Ghana’s all-time leading top scorer Asamoah Gyan, has said that the star player in the current Black Stars team is West Ham United midfielder Mohammed Kudus and not either Andre Ayew or Jordan Ayew following Ghana’s 2-1 win against Central African Republic on Thursday.
The Black Stars staged a superb comeback to win the sixth and final qualifying match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
West Ham United star boy Mohammed Kudus and substitute Ernest Appiah Nuamah ensured that Chris Hughton’s boy won all three points in the crucial game, finishing their Group as leaders with 12 points in six matches.
Gyan took to social media to react to the team’s victory and qualification, where he described Kudus as being currently the face of the Black Stars.
”I loved how Kudus played. He was more composed and realized the balls at the right time. For me, he is the Star man in this Black Stars team at the moment. More room for improvement.”
