In a recent “Question and Answer” session with West Ham United’s media team, Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus revealed his top five favorite songs by the renowned Reggae Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy.
In a prior interaction with the club’s media, Kudus had already expressed his admiration for Stonebwoy, stating that he could listen to the artist’s song “Life is a Journey” for the rest of his life.
However, in this latest video shared by the club, Kudus shared a different set of five Stonebwoy songs that have captured his heart: “Come from Far,” “Where is the Love?,” “Strength and Hope,” “Run Go,” and “My Name,” listed in ascending order of preference.
West Ham United has cleverly integrated Ghanaian music into Kudus’ unveiling process, with UK-based Ghanaian rapper Guvna B composing and performing the official track for his unveiling. The club’s TikTok page has also featured songs by Stonebwoy and King Promise, further strengthening the connection between the club and Ghana’s vibrant music scene.
It’s also worth noting that Stonebwoy visited Kudus when the footballer was with Ajax, where he had the privilege of previewing some tracks from his “5th Dimension” album before its official release, highlighting the bond between the two stars.
Kudus’ musical interests and his appreciation for Stonebwoy’s artistry continue to create a unique connection between his football journey and the captivating rhythms of Ghanaian music.
Meanwhile, Kudus has quickly won the hearts of many fans in London since joining from Ajax only a few months ago, with many calling for his regular inclusion in the starting lineups. The 23-year-old has made four substitute appearances in the Premier League and delivered impressive performances in all three cup matches he started, including the UEFA Europa League.
