Mohammed Kudus reflects on his debut season with West Ham United in England, expressing satisfaction with his performances while emphasizing that this is just the beginning of his journey. Since his move from Ajax last summer, Kudus has emerged as a standout player for West Ham, contributing 13 goals and five assists across various competitions.

Despite attracting attention from other clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, the 23-year-old remains focused on his future with West Ham, confident in his abilities and eager to continue his development at the club.

“I’ve enjoyed it [first season in England]. Everyone around [the Club] has helped me settle well, so it has been a nice experience. I’ve been here almost a full season now, but I still have a lot more to show and I believe this is just the beginning,” Kudus expressed to West Ham United’s media, reflecting on his journey so far.

Driven by his ambition and belief in his abilities, Kudus made the decision to join the Premier League, motivated by the desire to challenge himself at the highest level of football. Despite facing ups and downs throughout the season, he remains determined to continue improving and making significant contributions to the team’s success.

“I followed my gut and dream to move here and believed I was ready. When I decided to make this move to the best league in the world, I knew I was ready to take that step and I wanted to test myself. There have been ups and downs throughout the season, but I know there are more ways to improve my game. I’ve definitely announced myself here and I am happy that it has gone in that direction for the first season,” Kudus added, highlighting his commitment to the challenge of playing in the Premier League.

As the season approaches its conclusion, Kudus remains optimistic about the team’s prospects, aiming for a strong finish in the remaining two games. He acknowledges the progress made by the team compared to the previous season and emphasizes the importance of ending on a high note to build momentum for the future.

“We can only look forward at what is ahead of us. Last season compared to this season there is improvement in our position [in the table], so we just need to aim to finish as high as we can with good performances in the last two games and then see what happens next season,” Kudus shared, highlighting the team’s goals for the remainder of the campaign.

With determination and resilience, West Ham prepares to face Luton in their next game, eager to bounce back from the recent defeat to Chelsea. Kudus and his teammates are focused on delivering a strong performance and securing a positive result to end the season on a high note.
