Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus is expected to make a comeback for Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday’s highly anticipated North London derby against Arsenal.

Kudus had been sidelined after picking up an injury in the match against Chelsea, causing him to miss Spurs’ UEFA Champions League tie with Copenhagen and their Premier League clash with Manchester United. The knock also kept him out of Ghana’s international friendlies against Japan and South Korea.

With Spurs preparing for a crucial trip to the Emirates Stadium, the return of the 25-year-old comes as a major boost. Reports indicate that Kudus was spotted training with his teammates on Thursday, signalling that he is on course to make the matchday squad.

Coach Thomas Frank is expected to provide detailed updates on the midfielder’s fitness during his pre-match press conference.

Sunday’s clash will be Kudus’ first North London derby in a Spurs shirt, though he has previously scored against Arsenal during his time at West Ham. Since joining Tottenham in the summer, the Ghanaian playmaker has quickly become a fan favourite, contributing four assists and a goal in ten Premier League appearances.

All signs point to Kudus returning at a vital moment as Spurs gear up for one of the season’s biggest fixtures.
