In a thrilling Eredivisie encounter, Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus made a significant impact for Ajax upon his return from injury in their 3-2 victory over Groningen on Tuesday afternoon.

The scoring started in the 18th minute when Ajax Amsterdam took the lead through a well-taken penalty by Dusan Tadic.

FC Groningen, however, swiftly responded in the 38th minute when Florian Krüger’s right-footed shot from the right side of the box found its way into the center of the goal, leveling the score.

It was in the 68th minute that a Ghanaian combination led to Ajax extending their lead. Brian Brobbey expertly placed a left-footed shot into the bottom left corner of the net after a brilliant assist from Mohammed Kudus.

Defender Jurriën Timber further increased Ajax’s advantage to 3-1 with a skillful header from the left side of the six-yard box. Dusan Tadic provided the assist with a well-executed cross following a set-piece situation.

The home side, however, managed to find the back of the net again in the 87th minute, courtesy of Laros Duarte.

Mohammed Kudus played the entire match with great intensity, showcasing his skills and contribution to the team, while Brian Brobbey was substituted in the 86th minute.

In the current season, Mohammed Kudus has made 28 appearances, impressively scoring 11 goals and providing three assists.
