Ghana’s 2-1 win over Mali on Thursday has given many Ghanaians enough confidence ahead of the clash against Central African Republic on Monday.
Former Black Stars playmaker Mohammed Polo, in an interview with AP Sports Extra, expressed his delight in Ghana’s victory and praised Otto Addo’s approach.
“We got good results”. It’s an indication of the way forward. The approach was so good,” said Polo.
The ‘Dribbling Magician’ when quizzed by Joseph Osei Bonsu a.k.a Sports Presidoo, the host, on what the team needs to do to beat the Central African Republic, Polo urged the players to show generosity.
“Black Stars players should be charitable so that the fans will love them. The players must give to the needy to create a wonderful bond with the fans. They are role models now and must be benevolent.
“Ghana did well against Mali but shouldn’t be complacent at all ahead of the CAR game,” said Polo.
Complacency is indeed what Otto Addo’s side must avoid on Monday night at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Central African Republic snatched a wonderful draw when they faced Mali as it shows how dangerous they can be on any day.
