Egyptian talisman and skipper Mohammed Salah has been ruled out of two games for the ongoing AFCON due to injury.
The Liverpool forward was substituted in the later part of the first half against Ghana on Thursday in the Pharaohs’ 2-2 draw against the Black Stars.
The Egyptian FA has announced that Mohammed Salah will miss their last group stage game against Cape Verde and the round of 16 stage should they qualify due to injury.
This is a big blow to Egypt as Mohammed Salah’s absence will negatively affect them even though Salah has not lived up to the expectations in the 2 games played.
Egypt will play against Mozambique in a make-or-break tie on Monday as a win will qualify either side for the knockout phase of the tournament.
