Ghanaian footballer Mohammed Salisu has successfully recovered from his injury and has joined Southampton for their pre-season preparations.
The 23-year-old defender, who has been sidelined since February, was seen participating in training on Wednesday as the team gears up for the upcoming season.
Under the guidance of trainer Russell Martin, Salisu reunited with his teammates on the first day of pre-season. The training session consisted of various drills, including short sprints and physical exercises, aimed at enhancing the players’ fitness levels.
Before the commencement of the new season, Southampton has scheduled friendly matches against Reading FC and AFC Bournemouth as part of their pre-season preparations.
Following their relegation from the Premier League at the conclusion of the 2022/23 season, The Saints will compete in the English Championship in the upcoming campaign.
In the meantime, Salisu’s compatriot Kamaldeen Sulemana is yet to join the team’s pre-season camp.
