Monaco delivered a painful 1-0 nil defeat to Rennes in round 28 of the French topflight.
French Youngster Maghnes Akliouche put the host ahead in the game on 25th minutes after a sublime assist from Senegalese defender Ismail Jacobs.
The game which was played at the Stade Louis in Monaco had Black Stars defender, Alidu Seidu starting for Rennes but was substituted in the 66th minutes of the game. His fellow Ghanaian compatriot, Mohammed Salisu settled for a role on the bench.
Both sides ended the game with 10 men each after Martin Terrier and Thilo Kehrer both received the marching orders. The win for Monaco puts them 3rd on the log with 52 points whiles Rennes drop to 9th with 39 points.
