Moroccan referee Mustapha Kechchaf has been appointed to take charge of Ghana’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations Group C qualifier against The Gambia on Tuesday.
Kechchaf will officiate the encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium as the Black Stars seek their first points of the qualifying campaign.
Ghana go into the match looking to recover from their 2-0 defeat to Côte d’Ivoire in Bouaké in their opening Group C fixture.
The Moroccan will be assisted by compatriots Lahsen Azgaou and Yassine Saadaoui, who will serve as the first and second assistant referees respectively.
Amir Loucif has also been appointed as the fourth official for the crucial encounter.
Other officials from across Africa have been assigned to different responsibilities for the match.
Liberia’s Sekou Wieh Konneh will serve as the Match Commissioner, while Nigeria’s Abel Baba has been appointed Referee Assessor.
Ghana’s Danny Adotey will serve as the Broadcast Venue Manager.
Kechchaf and his officiating team will be responsible for overseeing the match as both nations aim to strengthen their positions in the AFCON 2027 qualification race.
The Black Stars will be under pressure to respond after their opening-day defeat in Côte d’Ivoire, while The Gambia will also be looking to secure a positive result.
Carlos Queiroz’s team will therefore be hoping to produce a disciplined performance and secure their first victory of the campaign in front of the home supporters.
Ghana will face The Gambia on Tuesday, September 29, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
