Morocco, among the favorites for the Africa Cup of Nations, is poised for a crucial encounter against South Africa in the last-16 stage.

The Atlas Lions, buoyed by their impressive fourth-place finish in the 2022 World Cup, have convincingly led their AFCON group, setting their sights on a triumphant campaign.

With their last tournament victory 48 years ago and a final appearance dating back to 2004, Morocco is eager to leave a lasting impact. A successful outing against South Africa will propel them to a quarter-final clash with either Cape Verde or Mauritania.

South Africa, absent from AFCON two years ago, secured a spot in the last-16 by finishing second in Group E, marked by a resounding 4-0 win over Namibia.
