King Faisal’s assistant coach, Godwin Ablordey, has revealed that the club is taking steps to ensure it competes in Africa if it wins this year’s MTN FA Cup.
The Kumasi-based team has advanced to the semi-finals of the domestic cup competition and will face Nsoatreman FC this weekend. During a pre-match press conference on Wednesday, Coach Ablordey emphasized that King Faisal is ready to play in Africa.
“If we win the FA Cup, we are going to Africa. Going to Africa without King Faisal is not happening. I can assure you,” he said.
Coach Ablordey also mentioned that while King Faisal is prioritizing the Ghana Premier League, the team will do everything possible to win the MTN FA Cup semi-final against Nsoatreman FC.
“We are more focused on the League. We will manage the team and make some changes. Regardless, we will beat them,” he stated.
The MTN FA Cup semi-final between King Faisal and Nsoatreman FC will commence at 3:00 pm GMT on Sunday, May 14, at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
