Ghanaian striker Hafiz Konkoni has set his sights on playing for either Asante Kotoko or Hearts of Oak as he seeks to fulfill his dream in the Ghana Premier League.
Konkoni currently plays for Tanzanian giants, Young Africans, after making the move at the conclusion of last season from Bechem United. His outstanding performance in the Ghana Premier League earned him a call-up to the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars.
In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, Konkoni expressed his admiration for both Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, stating his desire to feature for one of these teams to accomplish his goals in the Ghana Premier League.
He said, “It will be difficult for me to return to Ghana at the moment, but I have unfinished business in the Ghana Premier League that I would love to accomplish one day.”
“My dream is to play for one of the biggest clubs in Ghana, which includes Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, and I want to fulfill that dream. I’m still praying about it, and if I get the opportunity to return to Ghana, I will play for one of those teams. Insha Allah, I will return to the Ghana Premier League to accomplish my goals,” he added.
Hafiz Konkoni was a highly sought-after transfer target for both Kotoko and Hearts of Oak in the last transfer window, but Young Africans outbid them to secure his signature.
