Bofoakwa Tano captain Saaka Dauda has opened up about his debut Ghana Premier League campaign, describing it as a challenging experience.
The striker, who scored eight goals in 32 appearances, believes that playing in the top tier is a different ball game compared to the lower leagues.
“It was difficult for me playing against elite teams like Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko in my first Ghana Premier League campaign,” Dauda said in an interview with Akoma FM.
“Playing in the premier league and a lower league are two different things. All of the Premier League’s clubs are strong tactically, and they all play with formation and tactics. While I’m not disparaging players in the lower divisions, players in the premier league are more matured.”
“Truth be told, my first Premier League campaign experience was a difficult one”
Despite his difficulties, Dauda’s impressive performance has made him one of the most sought-after strikers in the league. He is being chased by several top-flight clubs, including Asante Kotoko, but his two-year contract with Bofoakwa Tano means that any potential transfer will require an agreement between the two parties.
