Medeama coach Augustine Adotey was excited to record his first win of the group stage as Kamaradini’s 94th-minute winner secured a crucial three points for the Mauve and Yellow.
Medeama SC has adopted Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi as their venue due to the ongoing construction of their TNA Park in Tarkwa.
When Evans Adotey was quizzed about whether Baba Yara Stadium affected them or not in the post-match conference, he said, ” No, the venue did not affect us at all. At the pre-match press conference yesterday, I even told one of the presenters that my team prefers playing outside of Tarkwa.
“If you see my team playing at an away venue outside Tarkwa, we do very well. Why? Because pressure will be on the boys especially going down one goal and fighting until we got the goal at the tail end”, he continued.
“Pressure will be on us than it was here so there was no pressure at all here”, said Evans Adotey.
Medeama SC will host Young Africans at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on matchday 3 on Friday 8th December, 2023.
