Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Myron Boadu delivered an impressive performance for VfL Bochum in their 2-2 stalemate against Holstein Kiel in the German Bundesliga on Saturday.
The 23-year-old attacker played 63 minutes in the highly anticipated clash at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion, contributing significantly by providing the assist for Bochum’s equalizer, which Matus Bero converted in the 22nd minute. Holstein Kiel had opened the scoring early, with Benedikt Pichler finding the net just 15 minutes into the match.
Bochum faced a further setback when Lukas Daschner extended Holstein Kiel’s lead to 2-1 in the 35th minute, assisted by Philipp Hofmann. Despite their efforts to secure maximum points, Bochum was denied victory by a last-minute equalizer from Shuto Machino, who leveled the score for the visitors in the 89th minute.
Since joining Bochum in the summer transfer window, Boadu has made a solid start to the campaign, registering one goal and one assist in three appearances. He will be looking to build on this performance as the Bundesliga season progresses.
