Hearts of Oak head coach Nebojša Kapor says his side are focused on their next challenge against Vision FC, insisting that past performances belong to the previous season as the Phobians work to build confidence ahead of Saturday’s Ghana Premier League encounter.
The Hearts of Oak trainer acknowledged that circumstances have changed since last season, stressing the importance of concentrating on the present and making the right decisions moving forward.
“A lot has changed because last season is in the past. What matters now is our next move. We’re working on several things to build our confidence and prepare for the game against Vision FC,” Kapor said.
The Phobians are preparing to face Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, where they will be aiming to secure a positive result against their hosts.
Kapor’s comments suggest that the technical team is working on improving the players’ confidence and readiness as they prepare for the demanding fixture.
The Hearts of Oak coach will be looking for his players to translate their preparations into an effective performance on the pitch, with concentration, tactical discipline and teamwork expected to play important roles in the contest.
Vision FC, meanwhile, will be eager to take advantage of their home setting and secure all three points. Their head coach, Predrag Jeredić, has already stressed the need for his players to maintain high energy, remain tactically disciplined and approach the game intelligently.
The contrasting ambitions of both teams set the stage for an engaging encounter, with Vision FC seeking a home victory and Hearts of Oak determined to respond positively.
For Kapor, the priority is to ensure that his players remain focused on the task ahead rather than dwelling on previous campaigns. The Serbian coach will hope the work being done in training translates into greater confidence and a strong collective display on Saturday.
The meeting is expected to provide both sides with an important opportunity to strengthen their league campaigns as the Ghana Premier League continues.
