Super Eagles of Nigeria International striker Victory Osimhen was once again on target in the Italian Serie A to make it three goals from two matches.
His team, SSC Napoli continued their perfect start to the 2023/24 Serie A season and their attempt to defend their title as they claimed a comfortable 2-0 win over Sassuolo at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Matchday 2.
The Partenopei took the lead in the first half through a Victor Osimhen spot kick, one which was expertly dispatched by last season’s capocannoniere.
Captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo added their second in the second half and the Neroverdi ended the game with 10 men after Maxime Lopez saw red.
The win leaves Napoli with a 100% record from two games to date, while Sassuolo sit bottom of the table with no points from their opening two fixtures.
