Nigerian club Rivers United announces striker Samuel Antwi’s signing from King Faisal

Samuel Adom Antwi, the 23-year-old forward for King Faisal, has completed a one-year loan move to Rivers United during the ongoing transfer window.

Despite King Faisal’s recent relegation, Antwi’s impressive past season, marked by crucial goals and a FA Cup final appearance, caught Rivers United’s attention.

The Nigerian club aims to strengthen their team for the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup and anticipates that Antwi’s inclusion will boost their attacking strength.

After a challenging season, King Faisal, along with Tamale City and Kotoku Royals, faced relegation in the Ghana Premier League.

King Faisal’s attempt to reverse their fate through a protest was denied by the Ghana Football Association.

Still determined, the club has taken the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, believing that the decision could have influenced their relegation outcome.
