Moses Simon, the Nigerian winger, expressed his condolences for the late Ghanaian international, Raphael Dwamena, on Sunday.
While scoring for Nantes in the French Ligue 1 match against Metz, Simon dedicated the goal to the memory of the late Ghanaian striker.
Dwamena, aged 28, tragically collapsed and passed away during a football match on Saturday, November 11.
Participating in an Albanian Superliga game between his club FK Egnatia and KF Partizani, Dwamena started the match but collapsed in the 24th minute, leading to immediate medical intervention.
Despite being rushed to Kavaja hospital, he succumbed to a heart attack.
Deeply affected by the loss of his African colleague, Moses Simon chose to dedicate his goal for Nantes FC in the 3-1 defeat to Metz FC in the French Ligue 1 to Dwamena.
After scoring in the 12th minute, the Nigerian revealed a shirt under his jersey with the poignant inscription ‘RIP Raph.’
