Nigerian forward Paul Julius has tragically passed away in a car accident in Cyprus, just weeks after joining Cypriot club Enosis Neon Paralimniou.
The young footballer was involved in a fatal head-on collision on the Paralimni-Protaras road. Julius had recently signed with Enosis Neon Paralimniou from Egyptian side El Gaish, making his untimely death all the more shocking for the football community.
Enosis Neon Paralimniou expressed deep sorrow over Julius’s passing, releasing an emotional statement on their official website. The club mourned the loss of a promising talent, offering heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
In their statement, the club said, “It is with a heavy heart that the entire family of E.Ν. Paralimni bids farewell to our teammate Paul Julius, who tragically passed away following a car accident. Paul was a young, talented footballer with high ambitions.”
