Also neither did any Black Stars make the reserve team of the competition as Comoros had a player selected.

Senegal defeated Egypt 4-2 on penalties after a 0-0 score line in 120 minutes to clinch their first ever AFCON trophy.
Four players from the winning team – Senegal – were picked onto the team of the tournament.
The reserve team of the 2021 AFCON features Youssouf M’Changama of debutants Comoros. The player scored a brilliant freekick goal against Cameroon in the Round of 16.
