Medeama SC midfielder Salim Adams has played down suggestions of added pressure ahead of his side’s Ghana Premier League showdown against Hearts of Oak, insisting the fixture carries more focus than emotion for him.
The former Hearts of Oak player is expected to feature when the two teams lock horns in Tarkwa, but Adams maintains that the encounter is simply another important league match rather than a personal test.
“No Pressure on Me” – Adams Focused on Team Effort
Speaking ahead of the game, Adams stressed that his mindset is firmly on preparation, team unity and maximising home advantage, rather than dwelling on past associations.
“Playing in Tarkwa is amazing. We have good supporters here and they make us feel at home. There is no pressure on me ahead of the Hearts of Oak game. I’m just going to meet old faces,” he told Medeama TV.
The midfielder added that the current atmosphere within the Medeama camp has boosted his motivation ahead of the fixture.
“I’m well motivated because of the squad we have,” he noted.
Medeama Buoyed by Solid Run of Form
Medeama head into the encounter in encouraging form, having recorded two wins and three draws in their last five matches. That steady run has strengthened belief within the squad and set a positive tone as they prepare for another demanding league test.
