Bankroller of Tema Youth, Wilfred Osei Palmer, has urged the top brass in football in Ghana to leave Otto Addo to do his job with the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
In less than two months, Otto Addo will be tasked with selecting his final 26-man squad for the World Cup in Qatar and Palmer thinks he should be allowed to take the decisions on his own.
“Nobody should try and influence the technical team led by [Otto Addo] to take decisions that will be challenged later,” he said on Asempa FM.
“The coach will have to come and rationalize why I chose this player and not that player.
“We should be able to make it to the semi-finals, that is if we do the right thing and this is selecting players on merit.
“It is very important for the team if we want the Black Stars to perform,” he added.
Ghana will play against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H of the World Cup.
