Ghanaian forward Gilbert Koomson was on target for Bodø/Glimt in their 5-0 mauling of Helstad on Wednesday night.
Glimt posed with a slightly unusual striker in the away match against Harstad on the night. In the second round of the cup, it was midfielder Isak Helstad Amundsen who got Kjetil Knutsen’s confidence as a striker. He took that chance and truck again for Glimt.
For there was never any doubt in Harstad. After 16 minutes, Elias Hagen sent the corner kick right to Glimt who headed it sharply past the keeper.
Ten minutes later it was Gilbert Koomson’s turn to show up. He slipped between two defenders with the ball and made no mistake alone with the keeper. 2-0 to Glimt.
Then it was time for Amundsen. On the back post, he jumped sky high and stabbed Glimt’s third for the evening. Impossible to crush the well island in the air.
Just before the break, it was time again for a nice goal by Elias Hagen. The young boy took the approach and knocked the ball into the crossbar on a free kick from around 25 meters.
In the second half it dubbed a bit, but Amundsen once again had reason to smile when after just over an hour he rose again on the back post. No one was around and he could easily score Glimt’s fifth goal of the evening to send his side’s to the third phase of the competition.
