English Premier League side Nottingham Forest are set to face stiff transfer competition in the hunt for released Strasbourg defender Alexander Djiku – as Scottish side Rangers watch on with regards to Jonathan Panzo uncertainty at the club.
The 28-year-old is a free agent as his deal with Strasbourg officially expired at the end of June. The Reds are reportedly keen to secure his services, but they face competition for his signature.
Foot Mercato, reports that Turkish giants Fenerbahce have “entered the business” when it comes to signing Alexander Djiku, who is a free agent this summer.
Alongside Premier League Nottingham Forest, the 28-year-old Ghanaian international centre-back is also reported to be on the radar of Ligue 1 club Lille whilst Trabzonspor and Besiktas have also been mentioned in Turkey. TSG Hoffenheim are being linked in Germany.
The Black Stars defender continues to mull over his options this summer and Nottingham Forest appear to be taking their time when it comes to negotiations over their own players too, including Jonathan Panzo.
