The National Sports Authority have requested $2 million from Ghana’s budgeted World Cup funds because they believe that they ‘contributed towards the Black Stars World Cup campaign”, new.sportsworldghana.com understands.
About $8 million was budgeted for the Black Stars should they exit the group stage level which they eventually did after earning just three points from Group H.
It is unknown whether this request will be granted but the request has been made.
The Black Stars were drawn against Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea.
