Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have confirmed the return of former striker Albert Amoah, who has rejoined the club on a loan deal from Libyan outfit Al Ahly Bengarzy.

The Porcupine Warriors have strengthened their attacking options ahead of the second half of the season by bringing back the 24-year-old forward, following a brief three-month spell in North Africa.

Confirming the move, the club stated:

“Asante Kotoko SC is pleased to announce the return of forward Albert Amoah on loan from Ahly Bengarzy.”

Al Ahly Bengarzy signed Amoah from Asante Kotoko in October 2025 for a reported fee of $200,000, shortly after the Ghanaian club’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign came to an end following elimination by Moroccan giants Wydad AC.

However, the striker struggled to settle in Libya, failing to meet expectations and finding limited opportunities for game time. Amoah was notably left out of Al Ahly Bengarzy’s matchday squad in all five league matches played so far this season.

As a result, the Libyan club exercised the option to loan him back to Asante Kotoko for the remainder of the campaign.

Amoah previously enjoyed an impressive spell with the Porcupine Warriors after joining from Great Olympics in 2024. He finished the 2024–25 season as Kotoko’s top scorer, registering 15 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions.

He also played a key role in the club’s FA Cup triumph last season, scoring three goals in four matches. Earlier this season, Amoah netted four goals in six appearances for Kotoko, including a brace against Kwara United in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.

The forward will now be eager to rediscover his goal-scoring form and play a pivotal role as Asante Kotoko push for success in the second half of the season.
