Asante Kotoko have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of former Liberty Professionals striker Elvis Kyei Baffour, the club has announced.
The 27-year-old attacker signed a three-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors after impressing the technical team during a two-week trial.
Kyei Baffour was Liberty Professionals’ top scorer in the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season, netting eight goals in 15 matches. Born and raised in Kumasi, the forward has been a lifelong fan of Asante Kotoko and is thrilled to join his childhood idols.
The highly-rated forward has already begun training with the team as they prepare for their opening match in the Democracy Cup against Hearts of Oak on July 17, 2024.
Kyei Baffour becomes Asante Kotoko’s fourth signing of the off-season, joining Ndongani Samba, Emmanuel Antwi, Esmat Hassabalbagi, and Yoouef Yagoub in joining the squad.
