Atalanta has formally embraced Ghanaian defender Isak Hien into its ranks, as confirmed by the club through an official announcement on its website.

The 24-year-old has committed to Atalanta until the summer of 2028, choosing the jersey number 4 for his tenure with the team.

Born in Sweden with a strong Ghanaian heritage, Hien’s international background adds a diverse dimension to Atalanta’s squad.

Having made the switch from league competitor Hellas Verona, Atalanta’s acquisition of Hien underscores the club’s dedication to bolstering its defensive capabilities.

Hien’s football journey led him to Hellas Verona in the summer of 2022, transitioning from Allsvenskan club Djurgårdens IF. During his time with Verona, the talented defender showcased his skills in 44 competitive matches.

Notably, Djurgården, Hien’s former club, stands to benefit from his success through a percentage of the transfer fee, as a resale clause has been intricately incorporated into the deal.
