Asante Kotoko SC have bolstered their defense with the signing of Congolese defender Ndongani Samba Gilbani O’Neil on a two-year deal.
The 23-year-old center-back joins the team as part of the club’s rebuild ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 season.
Samba arrives in Kumasi after a successful medical test and will be the fourth new addition to the team this transfer window, following the signings of Emmanuel Antwi, Esmat Abdulhamid, and AbdoelKarem AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub.
The former Rahimo FC player was unable to extend his contract with the Burkinabe side and is eager to make an impact in Ghanaian football.
With Asante Kotoko SC set to face Accra Hearts of Oak in the inaugural Democracy Cup next Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium, Samba’s arrival brings fresh blood and excitement to the team as they prepare for competitive action.
