Derby County have confirmed the deadline-day signing of Mohammed Fuseini, a Ghanaian international midfielder.
The 24-year-old, who can play across the front line and on the flanks, has added to John Eustace’s attacking options, joining on a season-long loan from Union Saint-Gilloise.
A product of the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana, Fuseini headed to Europe when he linked up with Sturm Gratz in February 2022.
He went on to make 27 first-team appearances for Gratz, including featuring in 2023/24 as they won the Austrian Bundesliga.
The forward had a six-month loan stint in the Danish Superliga with Randers at the end of that season, and his form attracted Union Saint-Gilloise, who took him to Belgium.
While with the Brussels-based side, Fuseini won the Belgian Pro League and Belgian Cup across his first two seasons.
He has European experience too, playing 12 times in the UEFA Europa League – facing Lazio, Roma and Ajax – and seven times in UEFA Champions League competition, including against Bayern Munich, PSV and Atalanta.
Fuseini has also received international recognition, earning two caps for his native Ghana.
