Former Asante Kotoko SC striker Steven Dese Mukwala has made the switch to Tanzanian side Simba SC, signing a two-year deal after his contract with the Ghanaian giants expired.
The 24-year-old Ugandan forward, who scored 14 goals and provided 2 assists for Asante Kotoko in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, had been unable to agree on an extension with the club. He instead opted for a new challenge with Simba SC, where he will be expected to feature in the CAF Champions League.
Mukwala, who has previously played for URA FC, has also represented Uganda at the international level, earning 14 caps and scoring 1 goal. He will now look to make an impact in Tanzania with his new club, having previously failed to secure a spot in the CAF Champions League with Asante Kotoko SC.
The two-year deal marks a fresh start for Mukwala, who will hope to continue his impressive goal-scoring form with his new team.
