Former Bechem United striker, Hafiz Wontah Konkoni, has successfully made a move to Tanzanian club, Young Africans SC, the club has announced.

Signing a two-year contract, Konkoni has been chosen to fill the shoes of the departed Fiston Kalala Mayele, who made his way to Egypt’s Pyramids FC.

Settling into his new team, Hafiz Konkoni has already joined his fellow players at the Avic Town camp to begin preparations for upcoming tournaments, including the Community Shield matches.

Prior to his stint with Bechem United, Hafiz gained experience playing professional football for Alsancak Ye ilova and Baf Ülkü Yurdu Clubs in Northern Cyprus. Notably, he has also received a call-up to the Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars.

Having showcased his skills in the 2022/2023 season with Bechem United FC, Hafiz Konkoni impressed with an impressive tally of 15 goals in 24 matches.

Yanga SC has been actively involved in the transfer market, and Hafiz Konkoni is their eighth new acquisition for the 2023/2024 season.
