English Premier League Bournemouth have completed the signing of Ghana international Antoine Semenyo from Bristol City.
The forward pens a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Cherries with the option for another year. The 23-year-old made 125 appearances for the Robins, scoring 21 goals and adding 22 assists.
Having signed for the club in 2017, he spent time on loan at Bath City and Newport County before establishing himself at Ashton Gate.
Semenyo made a fast start this season, opening the 2022/23 campaign with three goals in his first four appearances.
Semenyo has netted six goals and provided three assists in the Championship this season which prompted interested from several Premier League clubs. He was also part of the Black Stars squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said: “Antoine is an exciting player and one we have monitored for a while.
“He had interest from elsewhere and so we’re delighted to welcome him to the club.”
He becomes the third signing of the January transfer window for the Cherries, following the arrivals of Dango Ouattara and Darren Randolph.
