Belgian club Standard de Liège and Italian side Genoa CFC have reached an agreement for the loan transfer of Kelvin YEBOAH. The Ghanaian striker will be loaned to Liege until the end of this season (with purchase option).
Kelvin, born in Accra on May 6, 2000 (age 23), received his training partly in Italy and partly in England (West Ham United).
His professional career started in Austria with WSG Tirol (63 matches – 14 goals – 9 assists) after which he also decorated a transfer to Sturm Graz (45 matches – 20 goals – 10 assists).
In 2022, he moved to Genoa CFC, which in 2023 successively loaned him to FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga and Montpellier HSC in Ligue 1.
”Our club warmly welcomes him and wishes him every success in the club colours.” said the club.
The Ghanaian-born Italian forward recently left French Ligue 1 side Montpellier HSC with just six months into his season-long loan.
The Genoa forward and Montpellier mutually agreed to go separate ways leading to the termination of his loan deal.
Yeboah, who is the nephew of Ghanaian legend Tony Yeboah, made 16 appearances for the French outfit, scoring a goal for the club in the Coupe de France against Amiens.
