Ghanaian forward, Bernard Morrison has been officially introduced by AS FAR Rabat, a prominent team in the Morocco Premier League.
The former Orlando Pirates striker has signed a one-year contract, which includes an option for an additional year, reuniting him with head coach Nasreddine Nabi, with whom he had previously collaborated at Young Africans.
Morrison is slated to don the number 5 jersey at his new club, and AS FAR Rabat has proudly showcased images of their newest acquisition on their social media platforms.
After concluding the 2022–2023 season, the 30-year-old Ghanaian became a free agent following his departure from Young Africans. During his tenure there, Morrison made six appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup, scoring once. He played a pivotal role in guiding the team to the finals, though they ultimately fell short to Algeria’s USM Alger.
Notably, Morrison played a significant role in Young Africans’ successful title defense in the Tanzanian Premier League. Prior to his stint with Young Africans, he plied his trade with their fierce rivals, Simba SC, as well as AS Vita Club in the Congo, and the South African powerhouse Orlando Pirates.
