Bismark Kobby Mensah, the head coach of Accra Great Olympics, has expressed his belief that Medeama, the champions of the Ghana Premier League, can find success in their African campaign if they enhance their squad.
After securing their first-ever premier league title, the Yellow and Mauve have earned an automatic qualification spot in the upcoming CAF Champions League competition.
Mensah is confident that the Tarkwa-based club has the potential to make an impact on the African stage but emphasizes the importance of making the right decisions.
In an interview with Kessben Sports, he stated, “It’s not about only talking. It’s about taking the right steps. First of all they had a very good team. I think that the first thing is to maintain the team and also the second thing is to strengthen it with certain good players that can come and strengthen the team as well.
He continued, “…Looking at the team I have seen, if they are able to strengthen it with the right materials, I believe that in moving forward they can do well in Africa.”
Mensah’s remarks highlight the significance of strategic player acquisitions and maintaining a strong team foundation for Medeama as they embark on their continental journey in the CAF Champions League.
