Olympique Lyon manager Laurent Blanc has hailed the qualities of Ghana international Ernest Nuamah ahead of the player’s potential move to France.
Nuamah is expected to seal a move to Lyon this week after completing his medical tests and all other paperwork last week.
Nuamah is scheduled to join Lyon on a season-long loan, with the option to sign him permanently at the end of the season.
He is set to sign a contract with the Ligue 1 club until 2028, making him the fourth Ghanaian to play for the club following Abedi Pele, John Mensah, and Michael Essien.
The forward’s total transfer fee will be €30 million, marking him Lyon’s record signing and the most expensive sale in Danish SuperLiga history.
Speaking about the forward, Black said: “He’s already in Lyon. I think next week he’ll officially be a Lyon player. He is a player that will bring what he’s capable of bringing.”
“He is a player with a lot of power. He is a young player, a very young player, but he also brings us a bit of competition. Bringing competition in every position is a good thing for everyone. The more competition, the better things will be.”
